Crispin founded Piper in 1985 originally as a consumer-focused strategy consultancy, having left his position as MD at Fitch & Co, the UK’s leading commercial design consultancy. He went on to start the hugely successful Pitcher & Piano brand, which was sold to Marston’s in 1996.

With an unrelenting focus on helping brands stay relevant to consumers and by persistently striving to make Piper’s brands better and different versus the competition, Crispin has been instrumental in growing our investments into beacon brands as both Chairman and NED.

Crispin is Chair of Flat Iron and a NED of Turtle Bay

He introduced us to the back for the future approach. Where do you want to be in 2 years time and we would then work out what the milestones were to get us there. It really helped us to focus as a business
