Crispin started working with consumer brands when he joined international branding consultancy Wolff Olins after studying Management Sciences at Manchester University.
He subsequently became Managing Director of Fitch & Co, the UK’s leading commercial design consultancy leaving in 1985 to found Piper, originally as a consumer-focused strategy consultancy.
Crispin was the inspiration for, and intimately involved in the start-up and growth of Pitcher & Piano which started Piper’s investment activities. He is currently on the boards of Be At One and Turtle Bay.
“Crispin is the only private equity owner I have ever come across who doesn’t just talk numbers. It is really refreshing. It is really clear that he is doing what he is doing because he loves growing businesses.”
“We really rate Crispin. His clarity of expression, his insight and his intensity of thought- a deadly mix, but in a good way You never know what he is going to ask next.”
