We’ve been very lucky to have partnered with some of today’s leading food and drink brands, from our most recent investment in Mindful Chef to Propercorn and Bottlegreen. It’s only fair that we give back to the community and help the next generation of F&B entrepreneurs.
For the last five years, we’ve been working with Jayne Noblet and her lovely team at leading branding agency The Collaborators to support ambitious food and drink entrepreneurs.
Every year, the philanthropic The Seed Fund utilises a fantastic network of successful founders, industry leaders and specialist experts to mentor 12 budding entrepreneurs on a 12-week summer academy.
From May to September 2019, those on the academy will get support with finance, branding, design, marketing, social media, sales and distribution. At the end, every founder will produce a brand deck that they can use to pitch for new investment, win new listings or to use as a business plan.
There will be an opportunity to pitch the deck at our office in Notting Hill to a panel of industry leaders, including:
• Cassandra Stavrou (Founder of Propercorn)
• Mark Escolme (ex-MD of Gu, Chairman of Barking Heads)
• Amelia Harvey (Founder and MD of The Collective)
• Mark Palmer (Founder of Cawston Press & LA Brewery, Chairman of Union Roasted, and ex-Marketing Director of Pret A Manger and Green & Black’s)
The chosen winner will be announced at the Great Taste Awards and receive £100,000 worth of business mentoring. As part of this, The Collaborators will dedicate a team to lead on brand development and packaging design.
Please share this with any great founder growing a food and drink brand with a turnover of at least £100,000 who you think is doing something special, but needs some help on the next step of their journey. Please go to http://theseedfund.co.uk/enter-2019. Winning entrants will be announced in May.
